Villa Serena
Punta del Burro is located north of La Cruz and south of Punta Mita along famous Banderas Bay, which is Mexico’s largest bay and the third largest bay in the world. The beachfront here is one of the most gorgeous along the Bay, with fine, white sand and turquoise waters backed by lush jungle and tropical vegetation. The point itself, also known as “Donkey Point,” is located inside a luxurious gated community, which has become known as the “Mexican Malibu.” This is an area of secluded, upscale homes that has become a popular spot with surfers in the area, however the beach is mostly quiet and used mainly by residents. Other outdoor activities available at Punta del Burro and the surrounding Bay included swimming, fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling, parasailing, beachcombing, hiking, biking, golf and tennis. Whale watching, dolphin and sailing cruises are available at several points along the Bay of Banderas. Punta del Burro is just a short 15-minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and 30 minutes from exciting downtown Puerto Vallarta.

VILLA SERENA was built in combination of Moorish and Mexican architectural styles, casual and elegant, located directly on the beach. It has been constructed with marble, stone pillars, local accents and professionally decorated. It can accommodate up to six people in its three bedrooms. This luxurious beachfront villa is located in a private gated area of customized homes in its own private oasis.

The mood, beginning with a dazzling sea view and a multi-leveled descent, is one of elegant open-air tranquility. The lovely Mexican tiled kitchen is fully equipped; an adjoining elegant dining room that can sit 8 people faces the pool and beach. A Moorish styled open air cupula is filled with cushioned seating and is used as the living area. Beyond is the infinity pool and the beach.

The master suite upstairs has a king size bed, sitting area, large marble bath and a private furnished terrace overlooking the pool and the ocean. Downstairs there is a second master suite with king size bed, sitting area, marble bath and a furnished terrace with views of the pool and the ocean. The third bedroom is located beside the kitchen, it has a queen size bed and full bath; it opens onto the pool area and ocean.

The sandy beach in front of the house is filled with palm trees and hammocks to enjoy! The lush gardens surrounding the house are beautiful and well maintained.

The Central Pacific Coast  of Mexico is surrounded by jungle and receives 345 days of sunshine per year. Located on the same latitude as the Hawaiian Islands, its sub-tropical climate is often compared to Hawaii's. Temperatures reach 90 degrees F (32 C) during the summer, along with high humidity, but at night, the onshore breeze from the Bay of Banderas brings cool air that makes for pleasant sleeping conditions. The rainy season is June through September, however, August and September are considered the two “rainy” months.
On average, September has 15 wet days per month, while January has only two. Rain usually doesn’t start until late in the afternoon, leaving most of the day free for outdoor activities. The Bay of Banderas also offers shelter from harsh Pacific winds and hard weather in winter. December and January, the peak tourist season, are generally warm, sunny and dry, with comfortable, balmy nights.
