When one thinks of oceans, sand, beaches and breathtaking sunsets, Hawaii h=will come to mind, and stir the emotions of one of many of Allah (swt) beautiful wonders of nature. There is an Island “Kauai” that many seem to not know about when thinking of Hawaii, Oahu, Mau and other well known islands come to memory.
Kauai is the fourth largest of the major Hawaiian island with an area of 1,430.4 km and is know al the Garden Isle” This wonderful jewel’s name is know through Native Hawaiian tradition from a legendary Polynesian navigator “Hawai’iloa” who is considered a founder of the Hawaiian Islands. There is a story that he named the island after his favorite son “Kaua’i” which translates to “place around the neck”, meaning how a father would carry a favorite child.
